What We’ll Practice
Sound Healing Techniques
Learn techniques and gain hands on experience with instruments that range from flutes, gongs, drums, rattles, Himalayan singing bowls and much more.
This in-person experience will provide you with the opportunity to deepen your skills and confidence wutg sounds facilitation for 1-1 and group sessions.
Ceremony + Meditation
Ceremonies provide a safe and respectful space to encounter oneself deeply, and to bring healing and understanding to the world through prayer and meditation.
We will commune in ceremonies that have been part of our spiritual paths for years, including a healing sound bath, cacao ceremony, sweat lodge and more.
Yoga + Wellness
Psychophysical exercises and 3Y Yoga of the Inititiatic Tradition will be offered to help deepen our connection with sound as medicine.
These practices support mental, emotional and physical preparation, balance and integration.
“The intimate power of sound is that it can bring you in touch with the vulnerable parts of yourself: emotions, memories, pain, pleasure, visions. This retreat is a tremendous opportunity for soul-level work and spiritual growth; a transcendental portal into understanding one's own nature, limitations, hopes and fears. ”
— Adrian DiMatteo
Together in Community
The benefit of gathering together to practice is to encounter each other and share space on an intimate level through direct observation, asking questions, participating and connecting with people throughout the weekend. Learn from the breath, subtle energy work with smudging, and immersion in the forest of the Catskill Mountains.
Integration Ceremony
In this special moment of communion, participants are invited to share sounds, songs, prayers or other reflections in an ‘open mic’ format, celebrating the journey and insights gained from the retreat.
This experience is an important aspect of integration — providing space to see each other and express from the heart, reaffirm intentions and lessons learned, and plant seeds for how we want to move forward from the container of the retreat.
